Families get behind on rent or utilities because of a large medical bill, a job change, an unexpected car repair. Big Brothers can step in to provide the band-aid that makes all the difference.Big Brothers offers yearly one-time rental or utility assistance to families in financial crisis. For low-income working families, homelessness may be one missed paycheck away.

Allocations of up to $600 often keep families in their home and not on the streets. The rent is paid, or utility assistance provided and the family gets the breathing room to find a long-term solution. Big Brothers does not provide ongoing support –this is emergency support for low-income families, disabled, or seniors on fixed incomes.

Applications are accepted on Monday & Tuesdays between the hours of 8am and 2:30pm. You must provide the following documents with your application:

• Current and Active Utility Bill or Rental Statement (No final bills accepted)
• Current proof of income for all members of household (Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Child Support Social Security, Most Recent Pay Stub, etc.)

All assistance is paid directly to the utility company or rental agent.
